1 What's your company called?

Bridge Media Ltd.

2 What do you publish?

Illustrated books on vital topics, currently focusing on two areas: mental health and climate change. We also publish books of brain games for international markets.

3 What's the story of the company?

Bridge Media is new but its founders have a long history of illustrated book publishing and of digital publishing innovation, so the future will be built on the best of these.

4 How's business?

Good so far—but it’s still a bit too soon to say.

5 What do you enjoy about being independent?

The easy answer is ‘everything’—but more usefully, I’d say it’s the adventure of it and the freedom, or at least flexibility, to explore.

6 What do you think is the biggest single issue in publishing right now?

I think publishers are not looking hard enough at the opportunities that a healthy fusion of print and digital media already provide.

7 What one piece of advice would you give to a fellow independent just starting out?

Follow your instincts and your dreams, and use your wit and wisdom to achieve them.

8 What do you get out of belonging to the IPG?

Shared interests, shared experience and shared vision.
