Role: UK Sales Manager
Department: Sales
Reports to: Head of Sales and Marketing
Based: Head Office, Units 1-4 Tolwell Road, Leicester LE4 1BR

The Role

In this role, you will be an integral member of Sweet Cherry’s growing sales team. This is a hands-on role where you will be responsible for a number of key UK trade, education and mass market accounts. You will develop strategies for account growth with existing accounts, and identify new areas of potential business.

Main responsibilities include:

  • Achieving sales targets set by the Publisher and Managing Director
  • Meeting with key accounts and presenting new titles
  • Following up on sales leads to gain new business
  • Working with the marketing department to produce e-marketing campaigns for book trade customers
  • Forecasting and reporting activities to Head of Sales and Marketing
  • Keeping up to date with products to match client needs
  • Providing client feedback to ensure products remain market focused

Essential Skills:

  • Knowledge of a variety of different types of sales accounts
  • A valid UK driving licence and car, and be able to visit key accounts as and when required
  • Strong research, negotiation and communication skills
  • A willingness to drive business forward
  • A positive, can-do attitude, willingness to learn and the ability to work from your own initiative
