Job description

Profile Books is one of Britain’s leading independent publishers, publishing fiction and non-fiction. We are recruiting for a highly organised, enthusiastic and energetic marketing assistant to join our busy, award-winning, and friendly team. This is a brilliant first step into marketing, and the publishing industry.

You don’t need publishing or marketing experience – just be curious and a passionate self-starter, full of ideas, keyed into trends and able to work under pressure and to tight deadlines. You will be a keen reader across multiple genres. This is a role for someone aiming for a career path in marketing, rather than a route into editorial.

The role is to assist the Marketing Director and team with day-to-day tasks on campaigns as well as general team admin processes.

You will need a love of books, keen eye for detail, the ability to prioritise competing demands and excellent organisation, time management skills, knowledge of how to engage communities across social media platforms, experience in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Powerpoint) and a knowledge of InDesign and Photoshop will be beneficial.

The role offers the opportunity to learn analytics, social media advertising, video editing, graphics production, and project management.

Profile strives to be an equal opportunities employer.
