Job description:
Are you a creative thinker who enjoys planning and executing innovative digital marketing campaigns?

BookMachine is looking for a Digital Marketing Strategist, initially for 3 days a week, to work primarily on projects for our education clients but also with clients across the book trade.

Key responsibilities:
• Collaborating with clients to understand their goals
• Creating marketing plans and strategies
• Hands on running of campaigns on behalf of clients
• Producing reports and analysis on marketing activity
• Writing copy for ads and marketing
• Facilitating client meetings
• Working with designers, video producers and other specialists to craft a campaign

We’re looking for:
• Minimum 7 years experience in a digital marketing role within the book publishing or education world
• A proven track record of planning and running paid social campaigns on Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter
• Experience of running successful email campaigns and newsletters
• Excellent understanding of digital marketing concepts and best practices
• Engaged in digital marketing and technology trends
• Experience of the Google Marketing Platform, including implementing Google Tag Manager
• An eye for design - we’re not expecting you to be a designer (we have one of those!), but you should be able to provide a clear design brief and have a sense of what works
• Skills and experience in creative content writing
• Excellent attention to detail
• Responsive to clients and the team
• A growth mindset
• You must have the right to work in the UK.

Preferred skills:
• Recent marketing qualifications
• Amazon expertise including ads, SEO, creating effective pages
• Familiar with Google Data Studio
