Edward Elgar Publishing is an award-winning international publisher of academic and professional books, with a strong focus on the social sciences and legal fields.
EEP is seeking an experienced desk editor to join its busy editorial team on a full-time basis. The position would also suit an editorial assistant seeking to progress. Knowledge or experience of academic and/or textbook publishing would be a bonus. The successful candidate will manage projects from manuscript to final pdf file, while liaising with editors, production and editorial staff, suppliers and freelances. You will need to be careful and methodical as well as flexible and adaptable.
Excellent communication, organizational and digital skills are essential requirements. The successful candidate will have knowledge of Microsoft Word and Adobe and will demonstrate enthusiasm to develop their skillset. Experience of InDesign and Photoshop are also required.

This is a full-time position, working 35 hours per week, based in our offices in Camberley, Surrey, UK. Working arrangements will be discussed at interview.
